On 8th March 2024, Melbourne based singer/songwriter Karen Harding unveiled her brand-new single, "Judge You", the second single release from her upcoming album, "Behind The Mask". This emotionally powerful ballad explores our inner workings - specifically how self-judgment affects us as individuals, while at the same time revealing our protective mechanisms at play behind such internal dialogues.

Karen Harding is a folk/pop singer-songwriter with a passion for sharing a relatable expression of human emotion and inner experience within her music. For Karen, music is not only an outlet for expression of her feelings and emotions drawn from a lifetime of experiences, music is a soul conversation, that allows the masks that we hide behind to fall away for a moment of sharing, a moment of mutual understanding, in a language that does not discriminate in any form.

Through her path of introspection during counselling sessions, "Judge You" grew to existence. Lyrically, it delves into the paradoxical nature of self-judgment - that it serves as a useful defence against external criticism while also needing the release of negative internal narratives that hinder individual growth. The instrumental for the song, which features Karen Harding's blend ethereal tones with powerful pop stylings, was produced by Daniel Nieberg. The evocative atmosphere that Daniel Nieberg's production creates to go along with Harding's deeply raw and introspective lyrics, enhances the song's strength of emotion.

What hits me every time I listen to Karen's music, is the clearness and power of her vocals. Her capability to reach and hold high notes and convey deep emotions through the voice is impressive. This song in particular gave me goosebumps from the very beginning, the harmonies and the instrumental crescendo create a haunting and suggestive atmosphere, with a stunning result.

Karen Harding uses music as a form of self-exploration and therapeutic expression through song. On "Judge You," Karen draws listeners into an inward reflection while weaving a tapestry of human experiences through her trademark voice and innovative approach to songwriting.

She shares: "Judge You" is a song that holds a special place in my heart, delving into the intricacies of self-judgment and the protective mechanisms that fuel our internal dialogue. Produced by the talented Daniel Nieberg, this track combines my distinctive voice with powerful pop stylings, creating a musical experience that I'm incredibly proud of. I think the song presents a unique perspective on introspection and personal development, and I'd love to take y'all on this journey with me".

Karen Harding entered Melbourne, Australia's vibrant music scene when she released her debut single "I Didn't Realise," released May 2021. Since then she has explored uncharted sonic waters by teaming up with artists and producers internationally. Notable awards earned by Karen in recent years include winning the 2021 Bendigo Bank-sponsored Radio Eastern Songwriter Talent Show; being nominated as a Top Ten Winner at World Songwriting Awards in September 2021 and Best International Artist at Crags Radio Independent Artist Awards held February 2022.

For Karen, music has been a world of discovery and possibility, as well as a tool for therapy and personal growth. As she continues to explore her musical talents and creative potential, Karen Harding is sure to captivate audiences with her unique voice and innovative approach to songwriting.
