Enjoy my favorite picks released in November 2022, in chronological order! "STRONG FOR YOU" - Karen Harding - Melbourne, Australia (released on November 11th) Karen Harding is a Melbourne, Australia based folk/pop singer-songwriter with a passion for sharing a relatable expression of human emotion and inner experience within her music. For Karen, music is a soul conversation, that allows the masks that we hide behind to fall away for a moment of sharing, a moment of mutual understanding, in a language that does not discriminate in any form. She says: "I love that "Strong For You" holds layers of meaning. The song can be translated as a declaration of love and a promise to be there with someone special, through the hard times, to say you’ll be there through thick and thin. I have been going through a period of a lot of self-exploration. For me, this song was born out of a desire to be there for the aspects of myself that I have previously rejected or

Vulnerability and teenage angst in Lucas Fournier's sophomore EP "Who are we"

Lucas Fournier Only 19 years old with a world of ambition, Lucas Fournier has one goal: to spend his life making music that excites him, pushes boundaries, and connects with like-minded music lovers. Currently in his third year studying music at McGill University, the music that Fournier makes in his home studio is drastically different to what he studies. With a soft spot for the classic lush indie folk aesthetic of Novo Amor and early Bon Iver, but perhaps an equal influence from the genre-bending discography of Radiohead, and the outside-the-box production of Tony Berg on albums like Phoebe Bridgers’ Punisher, Fournier refuses to confine himself to a genre, and instead will go wherever a song takes him. Fournier makes music with the goal of connecting with people who go through similar experiences to himself. For Fournier, music is an outlet that has a truly unique way of influencing his thoughts and emotions, and he has always felt that writing music is the most natural way of ex

(the name of the band derives indeed by the the name of a street in Marc's hometown). MSL has enjoyed domestic and international recognition with their innovative spin on the fresh, energetic "Jersey Sound". The early part of 2019 birthed the band’s new lineup of frontman and guitarist, Marc Del Giudice , bassist Frankie P , and drummer Brian Morelli . In September 2020 the band released their first full length album, "These Are Our Years" -  they share about it: "This album holds a special place in our hearts. It’s introduction to a journey". After feeling fatigued from the "Jersey Rock Sound" reviews, Marc wanted to step up the band in every way possible. During the shutdown in 2020 they found new influences. The band recruited keyboardist Dennis Matusche and Marc wanted more synth and pop in the bands sound. They kept rehear
